The SNFCC in Athens already attracts new investors

A major upgrade for the wider area

Newsroom February 18 04:58

In a great open celebration next week, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) is delivered officially to the public. A week where every day “walks, laughter, music couples and families, sports, bicycles, runners, children, thousands of visitors and smiles” as its executives promise.

The new landmark of the city has already started to attract investors. The most recent one is Anangel Maritime Group with a new office building of 29.300 sq.m. worth a total of 47 mil Euros that will include a museum, gym, library, restaurant, an amphitheater etc. which will be ready by the end of the year. Other investors are mainly shipping companies like Martinos Group, Costamare, Diana Shipping etc.

But apart from offices, Sygrou Avenue attracts hotel businesses like Eurodomus Group that owns “Grande Bretagne” and “Rex” in Nafplio as well as “Arian” in KSilokastro. Also, the “Athens Avenue” with 94 rooms, 5-storey parking, spa, conference hall etc.

However, there is international interest too, with Marriot coming back to Greece with the agreement about the ex-Metropolitan hotel which will be now called Athens-Marriot after a 15 mil. Euro renovation.

But this is not all as Sygrou Avenue near the SNFCC has many opportunities. The Athens Ledra, which was part of the Marriot franchise for 30 years is up for sale with very good chances of a positive outcome by the end of the year.
