Shots were fired in downtown Athens near the Traffic Police headquarters. According to initial reports, two Georgian convicts had escaped during their transfer to the psychiatric clinic, one from the Korydallos prison and the second from the Nafplion correctional facilities. Police managed to apprehend one of the convicts, while the second was also captured after gunshots were heard on Psarron street.
