Shipping minister orders inquiry following young refugee’s injury at Patra port

NGOs accuse officers of the Hellenic Coast Guard

Shipping Minister Panagiotis Kouroumblis ordered the chief of the Hellenic Coast Guard to begina formal inquiry into the circumstances under which an alledged 14-year-old refugee male was injured at the port of Patra, the ministry said on Tuesday.

Pro-refugee NGOs are accusing members of the Hellenic Coast Guard for the injury.
