The Supreme Court of Greece rules mandatory vaccinations are constitutional

The decision effectively rules out any future moves by groups or persons against forced vaccination

Newsroom December 3 01:01

The Plenary Session of the Council of State (CoS), Greece’s Supreme Administrative Court, ruled that the mandatory vaccination against covid-19 is constitutional and in accordance with the supra-legislative provisions.

In particular, especially with regard to the medical and nursing staff, CoS ruled that vaccination is a constitutional obligation to demonstrate social solidarity.

Thus, the Plenary Session of the CoS rejected all the requests for annulment by groups against the relevant ministerial mandates, etc. decisions on the mandatory vaccination of workers, such as EMAK firefighters, doctors, nurses, EKAB staff, POEDIN, etc.

With these decisions, any request by a person or group refusing to be vaccinated has effectively been neutralised, either individually or through an Association, etc.
