Coronavirus Greece – 19,509 cases, 82 deaths and 485 intubated

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,164 patients have been discharged from the ICU

Greek authorities announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of the coronavirus that were recorded in the last 24 hours are 19,509, of which 42 were identified after checks at the entry points of the country. The total number of cases is 2,235,920 (daily change + 0.9%), of which 49.7% are men.

Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 373 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2,186 are related to an already known case. The RT based on the cases is estimated at 0.99 (95% DE: 0.92 – 1.06).

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 82, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 25,001 deaths have been recorded. 95.0% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 485 (62.7% men). Their median age is 66 years. 86.0% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 364 (75.05%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 121 (24.95%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,164 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
