Moscow warns UK to stop urging Ukrainians to hit targets on Russian soil, or it will face retaliation

The British Under-Secretary of State for the Armed Forces said it would be acceptable for Ukrainian forces to use Western weapons to attack military targets on Russian soil

Newsroom April 26 06:54

Russia today warned Britain that if it continued to urge Ukraine to hit targets in Russia, there would be an immediate “analogous response”, Reuters reported, citing RIA Novosti via the Russian Ministry of Defence

According to the British Under-Secretary of State for the Armed Forces James Heappey, it is perfectly legal for Ukraine to attack Russian supply lines and fuel supplies.

The British minister admitted that the weapons provided by the international community now have a range that can hit targets inside Russia.

Heappey said it would be acceptable for Ukrainian forces to use Western weapons to attack military targets on Russian soil, adding that strikes to cut off supply lines were a “perfectly legal” part of the war.
