EU agrees to start accession negotiations of Ukraine and Moldova

The EU27 has officially agreed to start the accession negotiations of Ukraine and Moldova in the European Union. The decision was made public in a post on social media by the President of the European Council Charles Michel who spoke about a “historic moment”.

For her part, the President of the Commission Ursula von der Leyen spoke of a good day for Europe, while Ukrainian President Zelensky expressed his satisfaction with the development.
