Coronavirus Greece: 11,972 new cases, 13 deaths and 86 intubated

Among intubated patients, 42 (48.84%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 44 (51.16%) are fully vaccinated

EODY announced on Friday that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of Covid recorded in the last 24 hours in Greece were 11,972. The total number of people who became ill amounts to 3,595,498 (daily change + 0.3%), of which 48.7% are men.

The number of possible new re-infections recorded in the last 24 hours was 2,000 while since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic the total number is estimated at 156,546 (4.2% of the total number of positive results).

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 13, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 30,154 deaths have been recorded. 95.7% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older

The number of patients treated by intubation is 86 (60.5% men). Their median age is 69 years. 93.0% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 42 (48.84%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 44 (51.16%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,720 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
