A young British tourist died in a horrific way after he was dismembered by the blades of a helicopter at a private heliport in Spata. According to initial reports, the man, 21, and 3 other British tourists had rented the helicopter from Mykonos for Athens.

According to some reports, the tragic accident occurred when the victim was walking next to the helicopter whose engine was still running after it had landed at Spata.

Under circumstances that have not been fully clarified, the 21-year-old man hit the tail rotor of the helicopter which was still in operation.

EKAB, as reported by protothema.gr, was called to deal with a serious injury. When they arrived at the private helipad, rescuers found the 21-year-old man dead.
