This is the Bangladeshi man suspected of the murder of a Polish woman in Kos

Police have found DNA of the woman at the man's place

Newsroom June 19 04:00

Protothema.gr reveals the photo of the Bangladeshi man who is in custody as the main suspect in the murder of a Polish woman, Anastasia-Patricia Rubinska in Kos.
The man who was last seen meeting with the Polish woman and police considered him the main suspect in the murder.  Police say during his interrogation he has fallen into many contradictions.

In the meantime, the developments in the investigations into the case of the murder of 27-year-old Anastasia Rubinska are continuing as the authorities examine every aspect of the case after the discovery of the body of the unfortunate girl in the Alykes area of Kos.

The latest information states that the police officers handling the case have once again called Anastasia’s 28-year-old partner, Michal, to testify, who was the one who first informed the authorities about the girl’s disappearance from Poland.

According to the same information, the police officers proceeded with this move in order to get clarifications about some of the messages on Anastasia’s mobile phone, which is being examined at the ELAS laboratories after it was found in an abandoned house.

As authorities are waiting for the results of the post-mortem autopsy on the body of the unfortunate girl from Poland is expected, the police consider it more and more certain that Anastasia was taken by at least two people to the area where her body was found.

It should be recalled that those who participated in the previous six days in the search for the 27-year-old had “combed” the area where her body was finally found without, however, locating her, an element that reinforces the scenario that the perpetrator or perpetrators of the murder hid there the body while the investigations to locate Anastasia were in progress.

The 32-year-old from Bangladesh remains at the centre of the investigations as he was the last person to meet the unfortunate girl last Monday night.

The police officers who keep questioning him about the case have found, in fact, that the 32-year-old has begun to contradict himself as he had initially claimed that he had sex with Anastasia, against her will, but later said that such a thing did not happen presenting the version that they met only to get hashish.

Despite the fact that Anastasia’s 28-year-old partner has a strong alibi, the police investigating the murder want to review the relationships and contacts that the unfortunate Pole, her compatriot, and the 32-year-old Bangladeshi allegedly had.

In addition to the Bangladeshi, the police officers handling the case are also closely monitoring the 32-year-old’s Pakistani roommate, as in the previous 24 hours it appeared that he was trying to cover up the 32-year-old, who is considered the main suspect in Anastasia’s murder.

DNA samples and hair of the unfortunate girl have been found in the room of the 32-year-old Bangladeshi while there is also material from security cameras in which he appears to enter his house together with the young Pole. At the same time, a plane ticket to Italy with a departure date of the day after the disappearance of the 27-year-old woman was found in his possession.

The Police believe that the 32-year-old intended to flee abroad, while an additional clue that raises suspicions about him is the hacks and signs of struggle on his hands.
