Greece: Second round of regional elections – Voting has started in six regions & 84 municipalities

Out of the total of 13 regions last Sunday, October 8, regional governors were elected in 7, while out of the 332 municipalities of the country, mayors were elected in 248

Today Sunday, October 15, the polls are opened again for the elections in the regions and municipalities where no candidate in the first round gathered a majority percentage greater than 43%. 

Out of the total of 13 regions last Sunday, October 8, regional governors were elected in 7, while out of the 332 municipalities of the country, mayors were elected in 248.

Therefore, a second round of elections will be held in 6 regions and 84 municipalities.
