Crete: 33-year-old man dead from a firecracker

A 33-year-old man was injured in the ribs by the firecracker and ended up bleeding uncontrollably

A tragic incident marked the evening of Carnival Sunday in Crete and the area of Agios Nikolaos.

Shortly after 21:30, a 33-year-old man was seriously injured by a firecracker near the ribs and was taken by ambulance in serious condition to the hospital in the area.

There doctors fought a battle to treat his injuries, which were so severe that the young man breathed his last.
