Agioi Anargyroi: The 39-year-old murderer from Sunday’s incident has been discharged from the Intensive Care Unit

He had attempted suicide with the bandages he had on his head

The 39-year-old perpetrator has been taken off the ICU unit. Following the murder of  28-year-old Kyriaki last Sunday outside the Police Department in Agioi Anargyroi he attempted to commit suicide at Korydallos prison.

The 39-year-old murderer from Sunday has already regained consciousness, with doctors evaluating that he has surpassed any danger after his suicide attempt and is expected to be transferred to a regular hospital room in a few days, leaving the ICU of “Attikon” Hospital. However, he will continue to receive medical care and monitoring.

The perpetrator of this heinous crime in Agioi Anargyroi attempted suicide, using the bandages placed by doctors on his head and neck.

“His room is guarded in the ICU, and in a few days, he will be transferred to a regular hospital room for treatment, to leave for prison in good health, to rot inside, let this be an example for those who contemplate such abhorrent crimes. This person cannot end up in a psychiatric hospital with a staged suicide,” emphasised Michalis Giannakos, President of the POEDIN Union, speaking to ANT1.

Meanwhile, a photo showing visible bruises on the hand of the late Kyriaki was brought to light by the morning show ‘To Proino’.”

As reported by the show, this photo was taken in the summer of 2020, two to three months before Kyriaki had reported her ex-partner for abuse and rape.
