Minister of Justice, Yiorgos Floridis, addressed the investigation into the murder of Yiorgos Lygeridis and discussed the presence of far-right forces in the country. He condemned the violence in parliament as emblematic of extreme right-wing ideology, labelling them as promoters of hate. Floridis criticised those who exploit religion for political gain, quoting Archbishop Hieronymus on the essence of Christianity.
