Thessaloniki: 2 year old girl in serious condition – Her father went to put gasoline and burned her clothes

The girl suffered severe burns - She was initially transferred to Papageorgiou Hospital and from there she was rushed by air ambulance to Aglaia Kyriakou in Athens

A two-year-old girl was seriously injured by a fire that broke out while her father was trying to fill his car with gasoline, in Kavallari, Thessaloniki.

According to reports, the serious incident occurred at noon on Saturday when the 28-year-old attempted to put gasoline in his vehicle in the yard of his house, using a can.

Then, under yet unknown circumstances, an ignition was caused, resulting in his hands being burned and the clothes of his two-year-old child, who was standing next to him, catching fire.

The girl, who suffered severe burns, was initially transferred to Papageorgiou Hospital and from there was rushed by air ambulance to Aglaia Kyriakou in Athens.

The girl’s father was more lightly injured by the fire and was taken to AHEPA hospital for first aid. A case has been filed against him for child endangerment.
