The temperature will start to climb back up to 40 degrees from Sunday and the next few days, especially on the mainland.

The National Weather Service forecast is that the weather today, Saturday, and into the middle of the week ahead, the weather will be clear, with occasional clouds in just a few areas of the country.

Temperatures on the mainland will reach as high as 37 and locally 38 degrees Celsius, while on the islands it will be considerably lower. Winds will be westerly and northerly without much intensity.

Meanwhile, according to the Fire Risk Prediction Map issued by the General Secretariat of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Climate Crisis & Civil Protection (civilprotection.gov.gr), a very high fire risk (risk category 4) is predicted for Saturday, July 27, for the following areas:

North Aegean Region (Chios Region, Samos Region, Ikaria Region)

South Aegean Region (Kalymnos Region, Kos Region, Rhodes Region, Karpathos Region)

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
Generally clear weather with a few occasional clouds on the mainland in the afternoon

The temperature will not change significantly.
