Newsroom August 31 02:00

Showers and thunderstorms are expected today, Saturday, August 31, the third day of weather instability enhanced by the presence of a cold lake, the center of which is now located in the northeastern parts of our country.

According to the latest forecast data from meteo.gr / National Observatory of Athens the phenomena will affect the mainland, the Ionian Sea, the North Aegean and Crete.

In the Peloponnese and the highlands of the mainland and Crete, the phenomena will be strong in places and there is a higher probability of hailstorms.

Caution is advised on coasts and beaches due to the possibility of “bourines” mainly in the Ionian and North Aegean.

Rain and local thunderstorms are also forecast for the prefectures of Thessaloniki and Attica.
