A total of 214 faculty and professors from University of Thessaly are ranked in the top 2% of the world’s top researchers in the annual rankings announced by the scientific publisher Elsevier and Stanford University in the United States.

Scientists are evaluated based on the impact of their published research, either in the most recent reporting year (2023) or over their entire career.

In a message to the university community, the rectorial authorities of the AUTH congratulate the professors “who are taking the AUTH to the top” and “with their research excellence and performance in research, and the knowledge and innovation they produce, they strengthen our institution’s footprint in the international research community.”
