Health workers’ protest from Mavilis Square to the Ministry of Health has begun, with traffic on Vasilissis Sofias in the direction of Syntagma being conducted by only one lane of traffic. The march is taking place in the context of the new, nationwide mobilization of workers in public hospitals the 24-hour strike declared by the PDOEDIN in the region, and a work stoppage 8-3 in Attica. Hospital doctors are also participating in the pan-hospital strike.

Workers are demanding, among other things, staff recruitment, wage increases, tenure for contract workers, the removal of contractors from hospitals, and inclusion in heavy and unhealthy professions.
