Neither Greece, nor Spain, nor the Maldives: National Geographic announces top travel destinations for 2025

National Geographic has revealed its picks for the BEST OF THE WORLD 2025, an annual list highlighting the most exciting, significant, and unique travel experiences for the coming year

Kostas Michail October 24 08:45

This year’s selection invites you to travel from the dark islands of Indonesia to less exotic locations like Idaho. The choices reflect more unusual destinations, far removed from typical tourist spots.

According to the editors, the emphasis was placed on “locations where visitors feel welcome and support the environment and local community.”
