See photos of the new state-of-the-art offices of the Hellenic Tax Administration in Tavros

They will house 1,500 employees - There is also a kindergarten on the premises

Newsroom October 29 03:05

The new ADEA offices opened today in Tavros.

They were inaugurated on Tuesday morning in the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

The new premises of the AADE will house about 1,500 employees of the service, while at the same time releasing significant real estate in the center of Athens.

The new structure is intended to enhance the efficiency of the Tax Administration, as the facilities include specialized areas for the operation of audit and collection departments, ensuring direct cooperation between the directorates and minimizing delays.

There is even a kindergarten within the new building structure that houses the AADE.

“In a way, this state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly, employee-friendly building is also a mirror of the significant progress that the AADE has made over the past few years.”

The move to a new building is not, in my view, only to save a few million euros – not to say, Mr. Deputy Minister of Finance, in charge of the General Accounting Office, that the issues of savings are not very important – nor is it only to reflect the new environmental footprint of a modern building, which will be the norm from now on.

It has to do with working conditions, with how the workers in the building themselves experience a modern workplace as a factor in improving productivity. Even the paintings that I saw – courtesy of the Athens School of Fine Arts – indicate exactly that,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in his speech.
