Evan Fournier: “I don’t just want to play basketball, I want to leave my mark with Olympiacos”

The French star opens up about his goals and aspirations with Olympiacos in an exclusive interview with L'Équipe

Newsroom November 12 05:45

Evan Fournier has once again made headlines this year, this time in L’Équipe. After his standout performance in the derby against Panathinaikos at OAKA, Fournier has become the face of the week in the Euroleague, with the French newspaper dubbing him the “Greek demigod.”

Speaking to the French outlet, Fournier reflected on his team’s performance, saying, “We weren’t good in the first game against Panathinaikos in the league. Olympiacos has a fanbase that you must win over for them to sing and support you. When they see us (the players) fighting like dogs, they respond.”

He continued: “I don’t just want to play basketball here. I want to leave my mark and engage with the team.”
