Metron analysis poll: ND leads European Elections, Mitsotakis dominates, Kasselakis makes weak debut in 7th place

Sokratis Famellos emerges as the most popular figure after SYRIZA's leadership election, while Velopoulos gains 2.5 points. Minor gains for PASOK and losses for Plefsi Eleftherias, Nea Aristera, MeRA25, ND, and Foni Logikis

Newsroom November 28 08:59

Metron Analysis measured the percentages of the parties before and after the founding of the Kasselakis party and the election to SYRIZA, in the poll presented on Mega’s main newscast.

Before the weekend’s events, the vote estimate for the Kasselakis party was at 1.5 percent and jumped to 4.2 percent the following weekend, showing however that it did not win impressions in its dispute with Koumoundourou.

SYRIZA was also a winner – it rose from 6.7% to 8.1%, while Socrates Famelos shot up to the top spot in the popularity of political leaders, displacing Nikos Androulakis in second place. At the same time, Mr. Kasselakis had a gain of just one point, remaining higher only than Mr. Dimitris Natsios and Mr. Vassilis Stigas.

Small losses were seen in the early days of this week for ND – it was marginally above the European elections in the vote estimate and was marginally lower at 27.3%.

In contrast, PASOK made slight gains, gaining half a point to stand at 19.1%, as did the KKE, which rose to 10.4%, but lagging behind the Hellenic Solution, which came in at 11.8%, up 2.5 points!

All parties on the left other than SYRIZA showed losses – the biggest being New Left, which according to Metron Analysis had a 3.5% share before the weekend’s double event. However, the party of Androditi Latinoopoulou also recorded a loss of almost two points!

Otherwise, in the question about the most suitable prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis has no rival: he leads with 28%, 21 points ahead of Nikos Androulakis, who has 9%, a percentage much lower than that of PASOK in the vote estimate.

Accuracy worries

An increase compared to October in the number of people concerned about accuracy, the economy,y and unemployment, but the percentage of those who believe that there will be an improvement in Greek-Turkish relations in the coming months has also increased, suggesting that Samaras’ positions on the issue are far from being majority.

However, the percentage of those who say there is no room for dialogue between the two countries increased by two points – from 19% to 21% – while the percentage of those who agree that dialogue should cover all issues raised by both sides fell slightly, but remained at 51%.
