The three accused in the amusement park accident in Halkidiki have been given a deadline for the defence

Owner, operator, and engineer face charges over fatal ride - Employee to testify first

Deadlines for their defense within the next two weeks have been given to the three defendants prosecuted for the accident at the amusement park in Halkidiki, where a 19-year-old boy died last August.

They are the owner of the amusement park, the operator of the fatal game (crazy dance), and the mechanic who had assured its safe operation. The first two are accused of manslaughter with possible malice aforethought, completed and attempted, in conspiracy, while the third is charged with simple complicity in these acts.

According to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, the investigator handling the case granted deadlines for them to apologize in parts.

The process will begin next week with the operator, the next week the owner of the amusement park will follow and the last one will be called to account.
