Two individuals have been arrested by the police on Monday afternoon in connection with the double homicide in Glyfada.

According to preliminary reports, the suspects are Turkish nationals who had sought asylum in Greece. At least two more individuals believed to have been involved in the deadly ambush are still being sought. The ambush resulted in the death of two Turkish nationals, while another was injured and hospitalized.

Footage has emerged of one of the alleged perpetrators fleeing the scene after the shooting. A shop owner who witnessed the incident stated:
“Bullets were flying everywhere; I was scared and ran inside my shop. When I came out, I saw one of them lying at the pharmacy across the street. From what I heard, there were two shooters, but I only saw one pass in front of my shop.”

Watch the eyewitness interview below:

Timeline of Events:

The incident occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m. Two men dressed in black entered a store at the intersection of Lefkosias and Voriou Ipirou Streets, near Karaiskaki Square, and began shooting, firing more than ten rounds.

Although the shooting began inside the store, it quickly spilled onto the streets, escalating the situation.

Police officers arrived on the scene and detained two men of Kurdish origin. According to police sources, one of them is believed to have been the shooter.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to locate the remaining suspects.
