Emergency preliminary investigation to identify unknown perpetrators, who dumped dead sheep from smallpox in Almyros ordered the head of the Volos Prosecutor’s Office on Friday night, following a publication of protothema.gr.

The DA has requested the mobilization of the police and the veterinary service, as the dead sheep are a focus of infection and transmission of pox, since other animals that can be infected and transmit smallpox pass through the area since other animals that can be infected and transmit it to herds in the area pass through the area.
