Olga Kefalogianni on Minos Matsa: “Becoming a mother was the positive outcome – The reasons for my divorce are clear”

"I think what I'm going through is something that a lot of women experience," the tourism minister said

Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni spoke about her divorce from the well-known music composer Minos Matsas, which even brought them to the courtrooms.

“I think that what I am going through is something that many women experience… I think it is a message to all women that whatever happens, we must move forward with my children’s welfare as our goal,” Olga Kefalogianni initially told the “Super Katerina” show, adding:

“When there are two children, all this overshadows everything, I keep the positive side of the case and the positive side is that I became a mother.”

As she still said, being in court was not her choice. “I had to. I felt that as a mother I had to be there for my children. And that is the difficulty of being a public figure… I was there as a Greek citizen to claim the best for the future of my children… I always want to look at the future with optimism, no matter how difficult the phase I am going through is,” she said.

Elsewhere, Olga Kefalogianni said: “My big dream was to have a family. I have grown up in a very happy family… Unfortunately, at one point this dream could not be fulfilled. But I am keeping my two children… The reasons for my divorce are solid, they have been made public… Finally, for all of us there is justice. That is what I am seeking.”

“After my divorce I didn’t think about leaving… after a few years my children will be looking for what happened, so I’m very careful about my movements… It is known that I found it difficult to have children… I have spoken very openly that I had to have an IVF,” the Tourism Minister also said and went on to point out:

“The children are still very young, maybe it’s better because they don’t need a lot of explanation… I do for them what my maternal instinct tells me.”
