The UNHCR High Commissioner for Refugees estimates that one million Syrian refugees are likely to return to Syria between January and June 2025 after the fall of Bashar al-Assad and his regime.

“We are now making the prediction (…) that about one million Syrians will return between January and June next year, said Rema Jamush Imceis, director of the High Commissioner for Refugees for the Middle East and North Africa during a press conference in Geneva.
