For the ninth day today, searches continue to locate 39-year-old Vassilis Kalogiros, whose whereabouts were lost in Larissa, on the eve of New Year’s Eve, December 30, 2024.

The men of the EMAK in boats continue non-stop searches in the Pinios. Drones and trained dogs are scanning the entire riverside area.

Autopsies by members of volunteer groups in abandoned buildings around the river make up the thriller of the disappearance of 39-year-old missing man Vassilis Kalogeros. The investigations have been extended into the urban fabric of the city.

It is recalled that the police sent a document to the OSE on January 3 asking to receive visual material from the cameras on the platforms and ticket offices of Larissa station, specifically between 5 and 8 p.m. on Monday, December 30.

Based on the information, the same is expected to be done for the KTEL Larissa, as well as cameras will be checked at all the exits of the city in the first critical hours of the disappearance.

In addition, police have two videos in their hands, showing the 39-year-old crossing a bridge into the urban fabric over the river and then disappearing.

Mr. Tsoukalis insists that when Vassilis last left his home, before he disappeared he was fine and absolutely nothing had preceded him: “He didn’t leave troubled, he was fine. If he had left on his own with all the publicity the issue got nationwide, someone would have seen him,”

As for his statement “Did he happen at the wrong time in a wrong incident” Mr. Tsukalis will once again emphasize that: “Vasilis, despite keeping a low profile, if he happened to be in front of an incident of violence or if he saw anything offensive, he would intervene, he has great empathy.”

The experienced investigator reiterated that this was one of the most difficult cases of his career with a huge degree of difficulty, noting: “As the days go by the trajectory in hopes is declining, we cannot overlook this.”
