“Germany needs deportation centers”, Bavarian Prime Minister says & calls for stricter immigration policy

Marcus Zender also criticised the acceleration of citizenship procedures decided last year by the Schultz government

“Safety first. Enough, enough, enough! The latest attack requires zero tolerance. Immigration puts too much of a burden on our country,” said Bavarian Prime Minister, Marcus Zeder during a press conference a short while ago on the occasion of yesterday’s attack against children of a daycare, which resulted in the deaths of a 2-year-old boy and a 41-year-old man.

Mr. Zender called for suspension of travel visas, especially for Afghans, more deportations and fewer refugees. “Those who have to leave should go home. Germany needs deportation centers,” the Bavarian prime minister said, and suggested state funding of daily special flights, with less procedures and bureaucracy, and no cash for migrants being deported.

Marcus Zeder also criticized the acceleration of citizenship procedures decided last year by the Solts government. “Our party considers it a mistake and will change it,” he said, referring to the Christian Social Union (CSU), a partner of the Christian Democratic Party (CDU), which he leads.

At the same press conference, Bavaria’s Interior Minister Joachim Hermann said that only one flight of migrants to Afghanistan had taken place since August and called Schultz, the chancellor, “out of touch” with reality, who again called for “rapid deportation procedures”.

As he explained, 28-year-old Afghan Enamula O., who yesterday attacked children on an excursion in a park in the city of Asaffenburg, had entered Germany via Bulgaria and recently presented himself voluntarily to the relevant German authorities and asked to be deported to Afghanistan. According to the police, he watched the children in the park for a long time and suddenly attacked them with a knife. A man was killed trying to stop him, and one of the teachers was also injured while trying to protect the children. Another child is being treated for injuries.
