An arrest warrant is expected to be issued against businessman Beny Steinmetz, following a decision by the Greek Appeals Council to grant Romania‘s request for his extradition.

The businessman is expected to appeal to the Supreme Court against the decision, as he has the right to do.

In the meantime, Steinmetz, who is currently hospitalized, will be arrested and detained (in hospital under guard or when his health permits in a detention facility) until the Supreme Court rules on his appeal.
