A shocking story unfolded in Livadia, Crete, where a couple passed away just days apart, spreading sadness in the local community of Mylopotamos.

The 89-year-old man was the first to pass away and the wife, unable to bear the loss, passed away.

According to neakriti.gr, as soon as the 76-year-old wife returned home from the funeral of the 89-year-old, she suffered an acute myocardial infarction.

The woman was evacuated to the University Hospital of Heraklion, where she was pronounced dead.
