Trump threatens Hamas with hell in Gaza if the 12 hostages are not released on Saturday

The Palestinian movement announced the postponement of the planned exchange of hostages and prisoners, accusing Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement

Newsroom February 11 08:26

US President Donald Trump has threatened Hamas that all hell will break loose in Gaza if the 12 hostages are not released by noon on Saturday.

The Palestinian movement on Monday afternoon announced the postponement of a planned exchange of hostages and prisoners, accusing Israel of violating the Gaza ceasefire agreement. However, it said it was ready to stick to the timetable if Israel complied with the terms of the agreement.

Hamas negotiators said the guarantees given by the US for the ceasefire no longer apply as US President Donald Trump plans to expel Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. The mediators postponed the talks until there is a clear indication that Washington intends to continue implementing the ceasefire agreement in phases.

Earlier, Hamas military wing spokesman Abu Ubaidah said Israel was violating the agreement by delaying the return of Palestinians to northern Gaza, targeting Palestinians with bombings and shooting and preventing humanitarian aid from entering the enclave.

Immediately after Hamas’ announcement, Israel’s defense minister ordered the army to prepare “for all scenarios” and defend Israeli communities.

In addition, an Israeli official said Prime Minister Netanyahu will hold security consultations tonight. The security council, which includes the ministers of defense, national security and foreign affairs, among others, will meet on Tuesday (11/2).
