The car followed a “crazy” course and at breakneck speed hit first the curb then an olive tree and ended up overturned in a nearby field.

The scene of the tragedy resembled a bombed-out landscape from the violent impact while the IX was transformed into a shapeless mass of iron.

A 15-year-old boy who was reportedly sitting in the back seat was recovered from it and died instantly while the other three occupants were injured.
