Extraordinary weather advisory in view of the cold wave called Coral has been issued by the National Weather Service.

The main features of the weather will be a drop in temperature of up to 10 degrees Celsius, snowfall in the northern, central and eastern mainland, the Aegean islands and Crete and gusty winds of up to 8 Beaufort.

The announcement by EMY forecast director Theodore Kolydas

– Gradual deterioration of the weather is forecast from Wednesday, as an intense cold wave called Coral will prevail in our country and in the wider region of Southeast Europe until next Monday.

– The temperature drop will be gradual in the range of 8 to 10 degrees Celsius in Northern and Eastern Greece with the lowest temperatures recorded over the weekend.

– Gusty northerly winds of 7 and locally 8 Beaufort will prevail in the Aegean Sea, while there will be two disturbances that will affect with snowfall mainly the northern, central and eastern mainland as well as the Aegean islands and Crete.
