On the afternoon of Thursday, February 20, in Santorini, a 19-year-old Albanian worker lost his life after being fatally crushed when a roof collapsed while he was carrying out construction work on a cave-style property in Imerovigli.

According to Cyclades24.gr, the owner of the property and the person in charge of the work has been arrested. The Santorini Police Subdivision is conducting a preliminary investigation to determine the exact causes and circumstances of the accident.

It is worth noting that the incident is not related to recent seismic activity, and the area where the construction work was taking place is not within the restricted zone due to earthquakes.
