Triumph at Karaiskaki: Final score Olympiacos – AEK 6-0

Olympiacos crushes AEK with a 6-0 score at Karaiskaki

Newsroom February 26 08:54

In a dominant display, Olympiacos continued their relentless attack, with Zélson providing a crucial assist to El Kaabi, who confidently won the one-on-one against Strakosha. The scoreline soared to 6-0 after El Kaabi found the back of the net in the 78th minute. Earlier, a triple substitution in the 72nd minute saw Stamenic replace Garcia, El Kaabi take the place of Yaremchuk, and Velde come on for Palma.

Olympiacos kept up the pressure, with a stunning second goal from Yaremchuk, who capitalized on another defensive blunder from AEK to make it 5-0 in the 53rd minute. Palma later added a brilliant fourth goal to further solidify the commanding lead. Changes were also made with Lamela being substituted to avoid a second yellow card, and other strategic swaps, including Ljubičić replacing Szymański and Tsiloulis coming on for Pineda. As the match progressed, Olympiacos maintained control, never relenting, while AEK struggled to mount a meaningful response.

Almeida, frustrated, throws a water bottle and receives a yellow card from Brych. Yellow card for the Mexican. A tough foul by Pineda on Ese. Almeida looks disappointed. 37 minutes into the game, the score remains 3-0.

Olympiacos dominated the first half with a commanding 3-0 lead. Yaremchuk opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, finishing off a precise pass from Orta, who had entered the opponent’s box after making a move down the left side. The second goal came just minutes later, in the 19th minute, when Yaremchuk assisted Orta, who capitalized on a defensive mistake by Moukoudi, slotting the ball into an empty net. A moment later, Yaremchuk had another chance from a nice pass by Rodinei, but his shot missed the target from a wide angle. AEK had a brief moment of hope when Eliasson found the net, but the goal was ruled offside. Throughout, Almeida could be seen shouting instructions to his players, visibly frustrated by the unfolding events.
