The woman suddenly came face to face with the intruder who had hidden under the bed

Newsroom March 28 01:02

An unbelievable case played out March 24 at a home near Great Bend, Kansas, when a nanny was trying to put the children she was watching to bed. But one of them asked her to check for a “monster” under his bed. What followed is beyond imagination.

Local police said in a statement that the woman approached to allay the child’s fears when she suddenly came face to face with a man who had been hiding under the bed.

Suspect identified and arrested

According to police, the babysitter identified him as a 27-year-old man named Martin Villalobos Jr. who previously lived in that house. Authorities were able to locate him the next morning and after a short pursuit, they arrested him.

Villalobos faces a number of serious charges, including aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, burglary, threats against children, obstructing a police officer and violating a restraining order. The offender is being held in jail.
