Electricity prices for May from PPC – How the green, blue, and yellow tariffs are trending

The new PPC rate sheets for May – Discounts for those choosing the new fixed tariffsElectricity prices for May from PPC – How the green, blue, and yellow tariffs are trending

Newsroom May 1 08:16

The new rate sheets of PPC for May have been posted on PPC’s website.

According to sources from the company, after a 25% reduction last month due to the calculation method of the green tariffs, the basic green household tariff for May, as derived from the calculation formula and PPC’s discount, is set at €0.136 per kWh. This brings it back to normal levels and remains one of the cheapest on the market.

In the low-charge zones (the old “night” zone), the price of the G1N green tariff is set at €0.1097 per kWh, meaning that PPC customers with dual-zone meters benefit from rates that are 20% lower during low-charge hours.

It is reminded that the April tariff was €0.11674 per kWh, significantly lower than March’s €0.15479. Overall, the tariffs for May remain lower compared to the first quarter of the year, during which rates exceeded 15 cents per kWh.

For the blue tariffs, which include more than 700,000 customers, PPC introduced the new PPC myHome EnterTwo, which is the first fixed dual-zone residential tariff with a fixed rate for two years. Specifically, household customers of PPC myHome EnterTwo will have a fixed rate of €0.095 per kWh for off-peak hours and €0.145 per kWh for regular hours, valid for 24 months. Additionally, as part of a promotional offer for PPC myHome EnterTwo, PPC is offering a total €100 cashback on electricity bills, with a €50 discount on the first bill and another €50 on the sixth month, provided the customer maintains an active account with myPPC.
