Opinion Poll: New Democracy rises to 30.7% – What voters say about a potential new Tsipras party

Course of Freedom remains in second place – 74.9% say they would not support a party led by the former Prime Minister

New Democracy continues to rise in popularity, according to a poll by Opinion Poll conducted for the website libre.gr.

The ruling party garners 30.7% in the voting intention among valid votes, holding a 14.9-point lead over second-place Course of Freedom (15.8%). PASOK follows in third with 13.7%, and the rest are:

Greek Solution: 9.8%
Communist Party of Greece (KKE): 8.1%
SYRIZA: 5.8%
Niki: 3.2%
Democracy Movement: 3.2%
MeRA25: 3.1%
Voice of Reason: 2.2%
New Left: 1.2%

In response to the question “Which party would you vote for if we had early parliamentary elections?”, the valid vote estimates are:

New Democracy: 25.7%
Course of Freedom: 13.3%
PASOK: 11.5%
Greek Solution: 8.2%
KKE: 6.8%
SYRIZA: 4.9%
Democracy Movement and Niki: 2.7% each
MeRA25: 2.6%
Voice of Reason: 1.8%
New Left: 1%

The poll also measured public opinion on a possible political comeback by Alexis Tsipras with a new political entity.

21.9% support the idea
10.9% think he should return after the elections
62.1% believe he should not return to politics

Among center-left voters, the breakdown is:
44.8% support action now
35.5% prefer after elections
12% say he should not return

Among centrist voters:
42.2% support action now
30.2% after elections
22.2% say no return

87.8% of likely SYRIZA voters
20.2% of PASOK
42.7% of Course of Freedom voters

This poll highlights both the consolidation of New Democracy’s lead and the ambivalence—if not resistance—toward a new party led by Alexis Tsipras.
