The son of the last Shah of Persia, Reza Pahlavi, has again taken a stand in the warlike confrontation of recent days between Iran and Israel. Pahlavi said, among other things, in a press conference that “the people (of Iran) understand that this war is not against them, but against the regime”. The latest developments “are actually helping the people by neutralizing the tools of repression used by the regime.”

Pahlavi also said that Ali Khamenei and his corrupt, destructive faction “have driven the Iranian economy to the brink of destruction, have plundered our national infrastructure and resources, have squandered wealth on developing nuclear weapons, have destroyed Iran’s security and have stolen the sovereignty of the Iranian people.”

On the Western countries’ policy of appeasement towards the Islamic Republic, Prince Pahlavi said: “Iranians are ready for this change. Does the free world want to be with the people who want freedom or against them?”
