Top students reveal the secrets of their success – “I made a lot of sacrifices”, says Stella, while George dreams of becoming a politician

The first of the firsts are preparing to enjoy the summer before a new chapter of student life begins for them

Newsroom June 27 11:17

The candidates of the Panhellenic Examinations in GEL and EPAL have every reason to celebrate, as their efforts have been rewarded with particularly high scores.

With more than 19,000 points in medicine – “I made sacrifices,” says Stella Yoltzidou

Stella Yoltzidou was the school’s flag bearer, with a clean 20, she was awarded the 1st Achievement Award and Student Profile Award. She secured 19,100 points in the Panhellenic exams and is interested in pursuing a career in medicine.

“My endeavour did not start in the last two years from high school. It had too much fatigue and organised studying. But the reward at the end makes you forget everything. In the essay, I got a 17.8 – you can never be sure what you’ve written… as for Biology, I got a 19.7. I found the topics passable, I don’t think there was an issue outside the syllabus – maybe because I had practiced a lot. In Chemistry, I scored 19.6 – I found the topics accessible, the subjects were not that difficult, but there I was dominated by anxiety.”

Speaking on SKAI’s morning news programme today, he said, among other things, “The secret is systematic studying, I made a lot of sacrifices.”

“My big dream is to become a politician,” says George Lahanopoulos

Shortly before filling out the computerized form, George Lahanopoulos doesn’t seem to be nervous about which school he will apply to, since with the 18,400 points he has accumulated, he has managed to be able to choose some of the most prestigious schools of the 4th Scientific Field, for which he was a candidate.

He scored a total of 18,400 points, in mathematics 18.7, economics 100, computer science 19.4 and essay 15.5.

As he told SKAI, “I want to get into the economics department at the ASOE.”

Regarding his success, he said: “I had a schedule, but all year I was not particularly stressed. During the two weeks of the university entrance exams, I was particularly nervous. My big dream is to become a politician.”

The sacrifices and plan of a student who scored 19,340 points – What Konstantinos Angelopoulos says

With perseverance, discipline, and clear goals, Konstantinos Angelopoulos managed to accumulate 19,340 points in this year’s Panhellenic Examinations, earning a place among the top students.
