Stefanos Tsitsipas’ meaningful post after breakup with Paula Badosa: “Want to destroy a man, laugh at his purpose”

Tsitsipas' remark in his post

Newsroom July 22 12:32

Stefanos Tsitsipas returned to social media after several weeks of silence, posting a cryptic message. The top Greek tennis player shared a thought-provoking statement on his personal account on X (formerly Twitter), which read:
“You want to destroy a man? Laugh at his purpose. Question his mission.”

This post comes at a time when Tsitsipas has been experiencing a period of inconsistent performance on the court and has recently dropped further in the ATP world rankings. It also marks his first public statement following his confirmed separation from fellow tennis player Paula Badosa.

Their relationship had drawn considerable attention from international media over the past year. Spanish outlets recently confirmed their breakup. The couple had initially announced a split in May but reconciled a few weeks later, only to part ways again shortly before Wimbledon.

Following their separation, both athletes ended all visible interaction on social media, including unfollowing each other. As a result, they will not compete together in the mixed doubles at the US Open.

Tsitsipas and Badosa had registered for the event and were announced on June 17 as one of the most talked-about mixed doubles pairs. However, as of July 21, they no longer appear on the entry list.
