Digs of the Atriums

The Athens Flying Week takes you on a journey through time and apart from modern fighter aircraft, it also hosts legendary Warbirds such as the Supermarine Spitfire MJ755 and the T6 Harvard that were restored to flying condition with the donation of the “Ikaros” Foundation and after decades, they return to the Greek skies again!

And of course, the biggest celebration of aviation could not miss the political participants, such as the Greek public’s favourite Luca Bertossio, the amazing Frank Van Houten aka Dutch Rush with his Sukhoi 26MX and the French champion Melanie Astles, the first female pilot to participate in the famous Red Bull Air Race!

In addition to the impressive aerial displays, Athens Flying Week features a static exhibition of all the planes and helicopters participating in the Airshow, including the beastly A400 transport plane of the German Air Force, which you can visit and have your photo taken with them! And don’t forget to visit the trade show with souvenirs and memorabilia from the Air Force and all the participants, as well as the aviation schools from which you can learn about careers in combat, general or civil aviation!
