“No one is looking for her,” mystery surrounds the identity of the little girl found dead in Paleo Faliro

Mystery still surrounds the identity of the 3-year-old girl whose body was found a few days ago on the beach of Edem in Paleo Faliro

Newsroom July 28 07:24

Investigators handling the case have not yet been able to identify the child. What’s even more troubling is that no one has reported the child missing or come forward to claim her, making the investigation even more difficult.

At the same time, the cause of death has been clarified through the medical examiner’s report. According to forensic findings, the child died from drowning and showed no signs of foul play or criminal activity.

Authorities are now waiting for the results of toxicology and histological tests to fully complete the picture. Based on current findings, medical examiners also believe the child may have had a metabolic disorder.

The girl’s body was found early Sunday morning on the beach of Edem in Paleo Faliro. She was wearing an expensive one-piece swimsuit, and her body had multiple injuries to the face—forehead, eyes, lips, and nose—as well as visible bruises on other parts of the body. However, it was later determined that these injuries occurred postmortem.

Witness Statements from Beachgoers

According to information obtained by Proto Thema, statements have been taken from people present at the beach, including a Greek citizen and a group of Egyptian workers. One of the workers was the person who found the child’s body and notified the police.

Initial evidence suggests that none of them are connected to the incident. Their mobile phone data showed they had been in the same location for several hours, as they were simply there for a swim.

Reportedly, the Egyptian men work at the fish market in Keratsini, and the individual who found the body has been living in Greece for many years.
