The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) will now issue degrees digitally through the “Education Certificates” platform on gov.gr for graduates from the year 2000 onwards. In its announcement, the university described this as “a long-standing request from graduates and public services, now resolved after many years.”

The process is fully digital and requires your Taxisnet credentials and AMKA (Social Security Number).

Steps to issue your degree through gov.gr:

Go to ptyxia.gov.gr or search for “Πιστοποιητικά Σπουδών” (Education Certificates) on the main page of gov.gr.
  2. Select action
Choose “Έκδοση πιστοποιητικού σπουδών” (Issue education certificate).
  3. Log in
Log in using your personal Taxisnet credentials or via bank login.
  4. Confirm details
Review your personal information and fill in any missing fields, such as your AMKA.
  5. Select university
Choose the university from which you graduated.
  6. Issue certificate
Select your degree title and the preferred language for the certificate. Preview your information.
