Jon Bon Jovi on the child adopted by his son and Millie Bobby Brown: “It’s crazy, but wonderful”

The singer spoke about his experience as a grandfather

Newsroom September 22 07:00

Jon Bon Jovi commented on Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown’s decision to adopt a little girl, saying that his experience as a grandfather is “crazy, but wonderful.”

The 63-year-old performer appeared on TikTok in an episode of the Dumb Blonde podcast, where he spoke about his son Jake and his relationship with Millie Bobby Brown. Just weeks before celebrating their first wedding anniversary on September 21, the couple announced via Instagram on August 21 that they had adopted a baby girl.

“Crazy, but wonderful. Wonderful,” Bon Jovi said about the new member of their family, and continued: “They adopted a baby girl and we met the baby, of course, and instantly she becomes your grandchild. It’s beautiful, I want to see pictures every day. I’ve already become that annoying guy. It’s amazing.”

In the same segment, Jon Bon Jovi also spoke warmly about Millie Bobby Brown, explaining why he approved of her marriage to Jake. The couple secretly tied the knot in May 2024 in a ceremony with close family.

“She’s sweet and very hardworking,” he said about the actress, adding: “I keep telling her how much I admire her because her work ethic is incredible. They married very young, but we gave them our blessing because we understand. They’re somewhat more mature than their age.”

The podcast excerpt was released on the same day that Brown celebrated her first wedding anniversary, sharing a post on Instagram. The actress posted a black-and-white photo from her wedding day with Bongiovi, writing: “One year married. I love being your wife.”
