The fortunes of the richest Russian businesspeople have risen significantly since the beginning of the year, with total earnings reaching $20.16 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The index is calculated by taking into account, among other things, the value of their companies’ shares.
Telegram co-founder, Pavel Durov, saw his fortune increase by $4.82 billion to $15.8 billion. Metalloinvest’s major shareholder, Alister Usmanov, recorded an increase of $3.22 billion, with his net worth now standing at $16.4 billion. Similarly, Severstal founder Alexei Mordasov boosted his net worth by $3.41 billion, which now stands at $26.6 billion.
On the flip side, NLMK Group Chairman, Vladimir Lysin, suffered the biggest loss, as his fortune decreased by $3.17 billion, standing at $22.7 billion.
