The exhumation of the body of Panos Rouchi’s son was postponed – The steps laid down by the pre-trial procedure

At the same time from day to day we expect the determination of the start of the trial for Tempi which will be held in Larissa in a specially designed room

Newsroom October 9 08:18

Panos Rucci, after having his demands met, left the Constitution last night, where he had been on a 23-day hunger strike. After his departure, he expressed his satisfaction in a statement while giving the message of continuing the struggle for the vindication of the victims.

Today, however, the exhumation of his son will not take place – as planned – according to the preliminary investigation, a technical adviser will have to be appointed by the family. So a new document will be sent by the police asking the family to state what tests they want to be done on the body of the dead son of Panos Rouchi and at the same time asking to appoint a technical consultant as required by the conditions set by the preliminary investigation.

The stages of the proceedings as set out by the preliminary inquiry

In the preliminary investigation procedure, the Larissa Prosecutor’s Office of the Larissa District Court, apart from the appointment of expert witnesses, asks that the laboratories in which the analysis of the samples from the biochemical and toxicological tests will be carried out beforehand be appointed and notified. It then requests that analytical reports be drawn up and forwarded to the public prosecutor’s office for further evaluation. In fact, after the tests are completed, additional statements will be taken from the victims’ relatives.

At the same time, the A.T. Larissa, which is responsible for conducting the preliminary investigation, continues to send copies of the procedure to local police stations so that the interested relatives can state whether or not they want the exhumation and toxicology tests for the man who died in the accident.

In addition, we expect the determination of the start of the trial, which will take place in Larissa in a specially designed room.
