The financial police are carrying out an operation in Northern Greece as part of the investigation into illegal subsidies from OPEKEPE.
According to the same sources, the police have made 37 arrests.
The sources report that among those arrested are individuals who issued certificates to farmers and livestock breeders that did not reflect reality.
Police have also arrested individuals who received the illegal subsidies.
The arrests follow a months-long investigation by the Financial Police into the OPEKEPE case.
As the investigation concluded, the officers handling the case began making the arrests.
